Privacy Policy

○ Previously, our company < Mative > prioritizes data efficiency and stability,
thus immediately deletes any conversation content and data between users after a set period (3 business days) and does not store or back them up separately.
Therefore, it is recommended that users personally save any necessary information or data from the conversation contents.

*However, if a user submits an inquiry to < Mative > customer service, we adopt a policy of retaining the related data until the problem is resolved.


< Mative > establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy

to protect the personal information of data subjects in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act and

to promptly and smoothly handle related complaints.

  • This Privacy Policy applies from June 8, 2023.

Article 1 (Purpose of Personal Information Processing) < Mative > (referred to as "Mative Official Website" or "www.mative.biz") processes personal information

for the following purposes. The personal information being processed will not be used for purposes other than the following, and if the purpose of use is changed,

necessary measures will be taken, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Website membership registration and management Personal information is processed for the purpose of confirming the intention to join as a member,

verifying and authenticating the individual for the provision of member-exclusive services, maintaining and managing member qualifications, preventing service misuse,

providing various notices and notifications, and handling complaints.

Handling of complaints and inquiries Personal information is processed for the purpose of confirming the identity of the complainant,

verifying the details of the complaint, contacting and notifying for factual investigation, and notifying the results of the processing.

 

Provision of goods or services Personal information is processed for the purpose of providing services, personal identification, and payment settlement.

Marketing and advertising utilization Personal information is processed for the development of new services or products, providing customized services,

offering event and advertising information, providing participation opportunities, posting advertisements based on demographic characteristics,

verifying the effectiveness of services, and analyzing usage statistics and patterns.

Personal video information Personal information is processed for the prevention and investigation of crimes, facility safety, and fire prevention.

 

Article 2 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information) ① Mative retains and processes personal information within the period specified

by law or the consent obtained from the data subject at the time of collecting personal information, in accordance with the personal information retention

and use period required by law.

② The processing and retention periods for each category of personal information are as follows:

< Mative > ('www.mative.biz' hereinafter referred to as "Mative Official Website") establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy to protect and utilize the personal information

of data subjects in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act and to ensure the swift and smooth handling of related grievances.

  • This Privacy Policy is effective from June 8, 2023.

Article 1 (Purpose of Personal Information Processing) < Mative > ('Mative Official Website' or 'www.mative.biz') processes personal information for the following purposes.

The processed personal information will not be used for purposes other than the following, and in the event of a change in the purpose of use,

necessary measures will be taken, including obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

  1. Website membership registration and management Personal information is processed for the purpose of confirming membership intentions,

  2. authenticating and identifying individuals for the provision of member-exclusive services, maintaining and managing member qualifications,

  3. preventing misuse of services, providing various notices and notifications, and handling complaints.

Article 2 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information) ① < Mative > retains and processes personal information within the period specified by law or

the consent obtained from the data subject at the time of collecting personal information, in accordance with the personal information retention and use period required by law.

② The retention periods for each category of personal information are as follows:

   1.  Disposal Procedure

<Mative> identifies the personal information for which disposal is necessary and obtains approval from the Data Protection Officer of <Mative> to proceed

with the disposal of personal information

   2.Disposal Methods

Personal information printed on paper is shredded or incinerated for disposal.

Electronic files are disposed of using technically irreversible methods that prevent data recovery.

Article 8 (Measures for the Disposal of Non-Users' Personal Information)

① <Mative> disposes of the information of users who have not used the service for three years. However, it may store and manage the personal information of

other users separately, until the expiration of the retention period specified by other laws.

② <Mative> notifies users of the fact of personal information disposal, the expiration date, and the items of personal information to be disposed of,

through email, text messages, or other methods that can be used to notify the users, 30 days prior to the disposal of personal information.

③ If you do not wish for your personal information to be disposed of, you can log in to the service before the expiration date.

Article 9 (Rights, Obligations, and Methods of Exercise of Information Subjects and Legal Representatives)

① Information subjects have the right to access, correct, delete, and request the suspension of processing of their personal information from <Mative> at any time.

② The exercise of rights under paragraph 1 can be done through written form, email, facsimile transmission (FAX), or other methods as prescribed in Article 41,

Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and <Mative> will take prompt action accordingly.

③ The exercise of rights under paragraph 1 can also be done through a legal representative or an authorized representative of the information subject. In this case,

you must submit a power of attorney according to the format specified in Attachment No. 11 of the "Guidelines for Personal Information Processing Methods (No. 2020-7)."

④ The right to access personal information and request suspension of processing may be limited under Article 35, Paragraph 4 and Article 37, Paragraph 2 of the

Personal Information Protection Act.

⑤ The request for correction and deletion of personal information cannot be made if the personal information is specified as the collection target in other laws.

⑥ <Mative> verifies whether the requester of the right to access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing is the information subject or a legitimate

representative, and confirms the request for access, etc., by the requester in person or through a legitimate representative.

Article 10 (Measures for Ensuring the Security of Personal Information)

<Mative> takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information:

    1. Establishment and Implementation of Internal Management Plans

To ensure the secure handling of personal information, <Mative> has established and implemented internal management plans.

    2. Access Control to Personal Information

By granting, changing, and revoking access permissions to the database systems that process personal information, <Mative> takes necessary measures

to control access to personal information. It also controls unauthorized access from external sources using intrusion prevention systems.

    3. Storage and Prevention of Tampering of Access Records

<Mative> retains and manages access records to the personal information processing systems for a minimum of one year. However, when personal information

of more than 50,000 individuals is added or when handling unique identifiers or sensitive information, the retention and management period is extended

to two years. Additionally, security functions are used to prevent tampering, theft, and loss of access records.

    4. Encryption of Personal Information

User's personal information is stored and managed in an encrypted form, and only the user can access itand important data is further protected through

encryption of files and transmission data or by using file locking features and other additional security measures.

    5. Access Control for Unauthorized Individuals

<Mative> maintains separate physical storage locations for storing personal information and establishes and operates access control procedures for such storage places.

    6. Use of Locking Mechanisms for Document Security

We store documents and auxiliary storage media containing personal information in secure locations equipped with locking mechanisms.

Article 11 (Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Devices for Automatically Collecting Personal Information)

① <Mative> uses "cookies" to store and retrieve usage information on a regular basis in order to provide personalized services to individual users.

② Cookies are small pieces of information sent by the server (http) operating the website to the user's computer browser, and they may be stored on the user's PC's hard drive.

a. Purpose of Cookie Use: Cookies are used to understand and optimize the visitation and usage patterns of users on various services and websites they have visited,

including popular search terms and secure connections.

b. Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Cookies: Users can refuse cookie storage by changing the options in the Tools > Internet Options > Privacy menu

of their web browser.

c. Refusing cookie storage may make it difficult to utilize personalized services.

Article 12 (Collection, Use, Provision, and Rejection of Behavioral Information)

① <Mative> collects and uses behavioral information in order to provide optimized customized services, benefits, and online personalized advertisements

to information subjects during the service usage process.

② <Mative> collects the following behavioral information:

(3) Chrome browser

Article 14 (Criteria for Additional Use and Provision)

<Mative> may use and provide personal information without the information subject's consent based on Article 15, Paragraph 3, and Article 17,

Paragraph 4 of the Personal Information Protection Act and Article 14-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act.

In this regard, <Mative> has considered the following factors for additional use and provision of personal information without the information subject's consent:

  • Whether the additional use and provision of personal information are relevant to the original collection purpose

  • Whether there is predictability regarding additional use and provision based on the circumstances of the personal information collection or processing practices

  • Whether the additional use and provision of personal information unreasonably infringes upon the interests of the information subject

  • Whether necessary measures for security, such as pseudonymization or encryption, have been taken

※ The criteria for judgment on additional use and provision are determined autonomously by the business/organization and are documented and disclosed.
